I recently watched the documentary “Mommy Dearest and Dead”. This documentary keeps you interested from the start with a story that is not expected. The doucmenatry hits on all the questions I was asking myself throughtout and leaves it up to the audience to decide if they agree with what was done.

Photography is a big hobby of mine, and there’s a lot of timelapses all over the web, but this one was extra interesting to me because of a few things. First I thought the colors and reflections of the water scenes were very nicely color graded. Second it’s crazy to think of all the companies that use such large equipment that something like transfering equipment of this size would require road closures, traffic lights being taken down and huge crowds of people. It’s not every day you see something like this, and every year or so I come back to watch this video. Make sure you check out a few of his other videos, he’s a very talented photographer. The Hawaii lava shots were really beautiful as well.

This film was made documenting one persons trip to India, answering the question “How was India.” Very creative editing and very good use of time ramping and transitions. Keeps you engaged right from the start. Beautiful cinematography combined with music and voice over that gives it a great tone.

Amazing stop-motion video made from water droplets falling in programmed shapes. This video is created for Gatorade G Active electrolyte water using a system that can be programmed to drip water in different shapes. Be sure to not only watch the commercial but the making of video as well. Incredible!

This video originally served as an interactive publication where the animated bits played when the user swiped the page. I like how the editing, motion graphics, and sound effects play together to enhance the action recorded. It’s super clever and brilliantly executed.
